    A ukulele-based group from Northern CA, proves the little instrument is not a toy. Ukesperience was formed in 2006, blending folk, rock and country blues. From local coffeeshops and bars, to summer music festivals, weddings, corporate parties, and everything in between. Ukesperience's sound smoothes the path and lines it with gold. Shortly after forming, the group earned an endorsement by Pono 'ukuleles (www.koolauukulele.com) from Wahiawa, Hawaii. Ukesperience's bass player, Tim, also custom makes their ukes including his basses as well as the lap steel and electric tenor ukuleles. Ukesperience's natural sound strongly emphasizes the ukulele, producing not the usual old standards, but interesting and innovative tunes. Their tune, Float Your Boat, is featured on the Japanese compilation CD, Shout Baby Shout Vol 2.
