| Savage Henry Showcase Sampler: Wepeel, Blvd park & more Savage Henry Showcase Sampler, July 17 The unlikely and sometimes sophomoric new entertainment magazine, Savage Henry, is attempting to get people together to drink beer and listen to music. Also they are trying to pay for their business license renewal and P.O. Box. Lets make it happen, folks! Meet the writers that you hate and love and support your local funnymag. Saturday, July 17th at Jambalaya, Wepeel will be back for one show only. This Weezer tribute band was awakened from the dead (MySpace proclaims just RIP Wepeel) because they are fans and contributors to the magazine. See the return of this Humboldt Favorite one more time before you die. Blvd Park Self described Spaghetti Western Desert folk thrown together by Brian Balentine, will be performing also. This group from Sacramento is in the middle of its west coast tour up towards Alaska. They are country awesome and full of great melodies. http://blvdpark.info/fr_home.cfm No Kind of Rider Is a mellow garage pop group from Portland by way of Tulsa OK where the music scene is much different. They have blended styles to produce a hybrid and count a metronome among their instruments. http://www.myspace.com/nokindofrider Charles Hargis and the Northern Hunger : Chuck McCammon of Hallophile and Bagel make up this country folk group that performs both sweet and sorrowful well written ballad pieces. McCammons voice is pleasantly low and dusty and Bagel accompanies well on bass and harmonica. This is a rare impress a girl and killer music combo show that has been thrown together so that you might get lucky at the end of a show that doesnt suck.
