What started as a solo album by former Laden Swallow bassist Justin Vanegas has slowly evolved into one of the most talented up-and-coming bands in Humboldt County. Featuring the dual-vocals and songs of Vanegas and Maia Wiitala along with the steady beats of Micah Crossley (Reluctant Hero) and blazing guitar work of Wolf Novarro (more bands than you can count). The album, written and recorded almost entirely by Vanegas, "The P-Town Chronicles Vol. 1: A Farewell Device" is a concept album based around events in the actual lives of Vanegas and many of his closest friends. It features the vocal work of Vanegas, Wiitala, Jessica Hartmann, Melody Stone and Ryan McClees along with numerous guest musicians lending their considerable talents to the album. "The P-Town Chronicles" are scheduled for release in November 2008. | |
